Health

My symptoms first started in December 22 when I was in the Antarctic. I was spending the night on land and laid down to sleep and felt an earthquake. I sat bolt up right to see if anybody else had felt it, and everyone else was just acting normally. Thought nothing more of it.

I started feeling my bed shake when I went to bed at night, I thought it must be the fan I had installed underneath making the bed shake.

It took me a good year to work out that the shakes were inside my body and not external. I still continued to think nothing much of it.

In October 24, I was on holiday in Morocco and then when I got to London, I started feeling it more often, and my feet started to feel like they were fizzing. Not pins and needles, like little bubbles in my feet.

Of course I Googled it, who wouldn't, especially as I wasn't home and couldn't see the doctor. Inner tremors, it's called, and Google tells me it's multiple sclerosis, essential tremors or Parkinson's. Not good.

When I got home I went to see the doctor, I've had multiple sclerosis ruled out, it's not a tumour or a heart thing, but it's definitely neurological. I was given a referral to a neurologist and told to go on my trip and book a visit to the neurologist if it gets worse, or I have more symptoms.

Of course I'm anxious and upset about what it could be, but decided to carry on anyway and deal with whatever comes up. I don't really have a choice.
